Identify Camera Calibration System

I spearheaded the design and development of a custom immersive VR training system for the Varian Identify Camera Calibration System, aimed at enhancing technician training. This innovative system transformed the traditional 2D video learning experience into a fully interactive 360-degree environment. It provided 200 interactive, hands-on mechanical and task-driven training modules, each incorporating haptic feedback and audio to ensure an engaging and comprehensive tactile learning experience. The project was segmented into five unique experiences, each meticulously designed to focus on onboarding and camera calibration, thereby enhancing user understanding and skills in a more dynamic and effective manner.

Contributions:

  • System Design and Development: Led the overall concept, design, and development of the immersive VR training system.
  • Interactive Module Creation: Developed 200 interactive training modules incorporating haptic feedback and audio to simulate real-world scenarios and enhance learning.
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Quality Assurance: Worked closely with stakeholders to capture updates and conducted walkthroughs through beta, gold, and alpha stages to delivery. Coordinated with the team on QA sessions to troubleshoot and debug, ensuring high-quality outputs.
