MEDIBOT: MedicalXR Consultations

MediBot was developed to address the challenges faced by individuals with chronic illnesses, inspired by my personal experience as a caretaker for my father suffering from Parkinson’s disease. This innovative system uses advanced holographic technology to enhance medical consultations. It begins with a holographic 3D scan of the patient, creating a ‘human twin’ that is securely stored in the cloud. This digital twin is then utilized in subsequent medical consultations, enabling physicians to review and discuss health issues holographically from the patient’s home, minimizing the need for in-person visits.

Contributions

  • Conceptualization and Development: Conceived the idea for MediBot and developed it from an initial concept to a functional prototype.
  • Unity 3D Development: Used Unity 3D to create a mixed reality environment where patients can interact with their medical data and healthcare providers in a virtual space.
  • User Interface and Interaction Design: Designed the user interface and inter, focusing on ease of use to ensure a seamless and secure experience for patients engaging in holographic medical consultations.
  • Prototype Demonstration: Successfully demonstrated the end-to-end prototype, showcasing how technology can alleviate the physical strain and logistical challenges of regular doctor visits for people with chronic illnesses.
